when you enter a section/forum the threads are listed in order of the last post inthem. if you look at the first post you see you can see the date and time it was posted. the thread itself may be years old but the last post is why its near the top.

you can change that option under the menu options/edit options and change it in thread display options.

Right now i'm doing some research on my new job and trying figure out what the company has been doing for the last 50 years

Sorry McGrath, not so good at this whole thing yet...My big redneck wedding is the most ridiculous show ever...almost as ridiculous as thinking that Linkin Park is a good band, but everyone has a right to have bad taste, right Mr. Brutus?!?! haha, that was a great night, and I ruined the set because they are a bunch of screaming whiney idiots.
