I seriously cannot wait myself. Now that football season is over I have no sports to watch besides MMA, which is fine but a bit of variety is good. The cubs will take the division this year for sure. i'm not quite certain of their chances in the playoffs but you never know.

We keep hope forever...it never changes, season to season. Everyone thinks that throwing 1908 in our face is going to change things, but true Cubs fans don't care about that, it's the spirit of the fans and the comradeship that comes with being a Cubs fan can be compared to no other...

Who all has been to Wrigley? My brother and me are big baseball fans. Our Uncle who taught us how to play baseball when we were kids lived in Indiana at the time (about 8-9 years ago), so we just drove out, stayed at his place and the 3 of us went to a day game. It was like going to the Holy Land. Wrigley is just in a neighborhood and eveyone was so friendly. We ate lunch at Slugger's, the Cubbies won, then after the game we walked to a bar called the Cubbie Bear. It was a Wednesday afternoon and it was like New Years Eve in there! It was like they won the World Series. What a blast. We had our Phillies shirts and hats on and instead of getting beat up like a Mets fan would in Philly, people just talked baseball. Good times.
If I can just get to Fenway, my life will be complete.

I have been to Wrigley only once, and went with my fiance and his two buddies, one of whom was a Reds fan, with a Reds jersey on...It is quite the magical experience! I watch the games from home all the time, now being on the west coast screws it up a little but we catch most of the games. But yes sir, you are correct...Cubs fans are in a league of their own, we enjoy baseball and love our team, but that doesn't mean no one else can have their own favorite team too! My fiance's Granny has a brick there now, when they had the outside re-done a few years ago with her name on it, we got her a plaque that has dirt from the infield when that was re-done about 5 years ago, and his maternal grandfather was a huge Cubs fan too. We keep his cap up on a shelf in our living room with a picture of the two of them at a game...Along with my Mark Grace signed ball and card, haha. It's great to be a part of such a simple thing and just be able to truly enjoy it! Glad you had such a great experience there!

I've been down to wrigley probably about 20 times that i can remember. The entire experience gets better with each visit. The first time i went down to the north side I was with my uncle ron who is like one of those uncles that just lets you have fun. I was hooked from there on out. Taking the train downtown for a game is fun as well. Not as fun as the game itself but still a cool experience. If I may suggest to those who have not gone, GET SOME BLEACHER SEATS DURING THE SUMMER!!! Dont forget the SPF 90 though cuz ur gonna get baked. the ladies out there are marvelous in all their bikini clad glory. Old Style flows like the rivers of Capistrano. i've been to other parks in chicago and in other cities but the dynamic that wrigley brings is unbeatable. win or lose you have fun or booze.

I've always wanted to go to Wrigley and Fenway. Two of the classic ballparks. I also wanted to go to Yankees stadium, but that's obviously not happening now. I hate the Yankees, but there is a lot of history there. My buddy is a big Yankees fan and went there last year for the last season of the house that Ruth built. He's a big time Yanks fan, so it meant more to him than it did to me.

Baseball is region/state based I'm guessing like a lot of sports?
Do most of the players actually come from the state/area they play for?

Ha nice, on that note, the French national soccer team had just about every African nation represented at one point I think.

I am aware. The cubs also blew the game last night late. If we don't win now we won't have anything to lose once september rolls around. they should knwo that by now.
