It seems to me that there are very few PC gamers on here. Too bad...playing TF2 is leaps and bounds better on a PC than on the 360 or PS3.

I have several gaming systems but, PC gaming is still the best, IMO.

Maybe it's just my computer, but I enjoy my HD TV and PS3 for gaming over my Sony Vaio (2GB Pentium, 1GB RAM). My PS3 is sooo much smoother and better looking. It could be that my computer is more of a 'college' machine than a gaming machine, or it could just be me, IDK.
I used to play Guild Wars quite a bit and I'm probably due to play again soon.

I play Metal Gear 4, Assassins Creed, and Madden 09 on my PS3. I'd like to get into the Call of Duty games sometime. I hear a lot of people like those.

Before anyone reads my comments below, I want to make it absolutely clear I am not trying to convert any console gamers. This is just my opinion.

I find that consoles are good for two types of games for me:

Sports - Madden and wrestling. Madden 2002 (the last one I played on my PS2) pissed me off so much I damn near put my controller through the wall. There is no doubt in my mind that f'ing game cheats like a motherfudger. The wrestling games were Ok, but got boring. If they ever made a decent, open ended wrestling/MMA RPG, I would be mighty intrigued.

Fighting Games - Street Fighter Alpha was a phenomenal game. The Tekkans were always fun.

In every other category, PC games just whoop butt on consoles. I can't stand the thought of playing an RPG on a console. I will take on a legion of console gamers in a FPS and wipe the floor with them using my mouse and keyboard. I am not saying I am that good, I am saying the mouse and keyboard method is so superior that an average PC gamer will slaughter an expert console gamer.

The only category of sports game I like on the computer is golf. People go crazy when their 360 or PS3 outputs to high definition. PC gamers have been playing in HD for 7 or 8 years now.

I just recently started the Guild Wars trilogy. It is OK, but for some reason it did not make me an addict like World Of Warcraft did back in the day. I am only a level 7 right now and it just hasn't done it for me.

I do admit to being a TF2 fanatic. I have logged more hours on it than I really want to admit to doing.

I thought I was the only one. I should abridge that by saying I only play FPS and racing games. You guys can keep the role playing. I've had several friends try to get me to play RPGs and they stink (the games, not my friends).

I use to work with a guy that was near retirement that loved his Formula 1 racing game (I forget which one, but it was back in the 1998 time frame) so much he had a custom built computer with steering wheel, pedals, and chair. He spent multiple thousands of dollars on it and became a master of that one racing game.

To each their own. I think racing games are fun for a while, but they don't hold my interest for very long.

only thing i hate about pc gaming is its o expensive to get your computer up to par to play the newer games,i would love to have one that would play newer games on my pc,and the other thing i hate is there is alot more cheaters in fps's on the pc,because of the use of trainers and mods which are not allowed on console gaming and on the xbox will get you banned if you are caught using them.but i do like the fact that pc gamers get dlc for free while us console gamers have to pay for it

I feel more masculine when I don't understand most of the acronyms in this thread. :D

I know RPG, but other than that I'm stumped! LOL.

Like 2mcgrath said about the computer speed and the $$ of doing so, I agree. That is one thing that my PS3 does for me (plus the blue ray player).

I think that if I had a better machine, Prophet would already have talked me into playing my games on my PC... :)

I am such a nerd. I could talk for hours about gaming. Current gaming, single player, multi-player, retro gaming, etc....

I think it is in my blood. My mom has finished more console games than I have and my kids love playing games. My son is better at Super Monkey Balls (1 & 2) than I am and my 4 year old daughter and I played Super Mario Sunshine together and she shows me a thing or two sometimes. It is really cool.

I like to play in a console more than I like to play in my PC. Awesome graphics. And you don't have to upgrade all the time. It's kind of hard to upgrade your PC when you're just a student. I don't even have a decent 3Dfx Video Card.

but I have to agree to the FPS part. Sucks playing FPS in a console. Try playing Armored Core in a console. Even the AI can kick my ***. Hahaha. Had a hard time pointing and shooting.
