Hey Duran and any other wrestling fans :attention:

I was at this show ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) on Wednesday night and got to chatting with Scott Casper. He hosts a wrestling radio show in Iowa on Saturday mornings. After we finished our mma talk, we got around to wrestling.

Well I ask him if there is any way a buddy of mine out in Pennsylvania would be able to listen to his show. He says sure, and gives me his card with his website ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) on it. You can listen live online from the website.

Then he goes on to tell me that he just got back from doing his show on the road and he's been all over PA. I got on his site this morning and he wasn't kidding. Check out the link ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) to some of the places he visited. You'll have to tell me if they are schools that have particularly strong wrestling programs.

Here is a link ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) directly to the archives of his show, if you are interested.

I will try listening to it next Saturday online and see if it works for me. Obviously, I've never tried before cause it's lot's easier to just turn on the radio.

Boo-Thanks for the links! Of course you know this thread got my attention. I actually have heard of TDR by reading about it in W.I.N. (Wrestling International Newsmagazine, formerly know as Wrestling Institue Magazine), and from THE MAT.COM, which is USA Wrestling's website. W.I.N. is based out of Newton, Iowa and is a KILLER comprehesive amateur wrestling print publication. What I like about it is that it has some inspirational columns that fire you up to train. It always reminds me that I am still a wrestler (just between bouts, that's all!), still represent the sport, and should always remember what it did for me. It really promotes HS and college wrestling. It's a great rag for WrestleHeads. Their website is WIN-magazine.com and the people associated with the W.I.N. are first class, top notch human beings.
Back to Takedown Radio, I have never tuned in, in spite of having heard of it. I will definitely make some time to listen to the archived shows. On one of the links you posted, he mentions interviewing the Coach Jack Childs at Drexel U in Philly. Coach Childs has had a lot of success recruiting student athletes from the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton area, a hotbed for wrestling. Also, I was at the Lehigh University wrestle offs on Nov. 7th, where apparently he did some interviews. I will have to listen to that show for sure.

I was out of town for a few days - how did Josh Neer look?

Of course I'm very familiar with Newton, Iowa. I didn't know about the publication though, so thanks.

Josh pretty much squashed his opponent in 2:30 of Rd 1.
I've been meaning to post up some info about the show and something amusing that happened there. I'll get to it this coming week.

GLAD YOU ARE BACK!!!

Always up for a funny story. How was the rest of the show?

Man, Neer is one tough hombre.
