Yeah I agree with this 100%. My friends and I played the demo and we expected so much more when we got the game, that 5 or 6 of us bought it amongst us 11 that are consistent, avid MMA fans amongst the group.
All of us were done with it within a few weeks. The actual game is the demo with just a few more fighters lol.
The create a fighter sucks outside of making the face. You can't have any fun with it at all.
Career mode is rinse and repeat. It is boring as ****. One song plays over and over. You make your way to the top and you fight the same 3 top contenders over and over again. It is flawed to the point where you can fight the same guy over and over again once you get in the top 10. You have to use your created fighter, you can't use Wanderlei or anyone.
They said they added so many sound bytes and such that you would never feel like you were hearing the same thing over and over again, and that's a load of crap. If you fight as Cro Cop 3 times, you will hear the same thing 2 of those times lol.
There is an incredible imbalance between striking and grappling. To easy to KO, not easy enough to submit. If you have a stunned opponent, who has garbage BJJ (lets say Houston Alexander), and you go for a submission attempt, there is no way if your using a top BJJ guy that Alexander is going to get out of it. And he will... he undoubtedly will.
The game is very stale and the replay value is non existent. I'm not buying UFC 2010 when it comes out to be honest. I'll probably check out 2011 though.
A+ graphics, C+ sounds and audio (minus the quality of course), B- in terms of game play, and F replay value
In the end the game is like a C
