Fighterbynature wanted me to help him with making a background for his myspace page. He wanted something that would advertise this site. Here is what I got him....we all should vote on if its good enough or should there be changes made.

lol oh well see no body told me add info about our site too.... We all need to decide what should be on the ad. I thought we just were making a background and that all it needed was the site name.:noidea:

i prefer the actual cage but maybe the mmaworld on the sides with 2 fights in the middle

UMM only brvheat can at this point...But we as a team can all vote on which style we prefer, and what should be on the floor of the cage. I can get a full sized ring if we need more room to add info...Just everyone post their opinions, please.

i have another idae...instead of a cage just a awesome fight pic from a fight that you think ppl will allways remember like arlovski koing tim silvia and then across the top it saying the site name and address and some various info like "your one stop shop for all things mma" or aomething of that nature...
Of course I have to be difficult. I like somewhat of a compilation of the two designs. Try to picture what I'm going to describe.
Take Easy's cage only make it a a full cage like Free's design. I think we should have the 8-sides that are associated with mma.
Make the perspective be from the top looking down, but make it on an angle so the cage's fence will be visible. Free's design has you looking directly straight down.
I like Easy's font with the MMAWorld bigger and the www and org smaller.
However, take Easy's font and have it curve following the cage the way Free's design has it.
The other info to put in it can be decided later, but that's how I think the background should look.

Relative to your last suggestion FBN.....the thing I don't like about a background that is fighters is that it makes it difficult to read the text inside. I've seen that sort of thing on some fighter websites and have never liked it for that reason.
Just my 0.02.

No, that's great what you've done. You've got the 3-D of the actual cage which is what I was shooting for.
The second one really rocks too, and you've used THEE slam of all slams.
I think which one is used should depend on the quantity of text. Obviously the cage could hold more.
I know we are just talking background here, but I like using "the friendliest forum." That is what everyone is really struck with first when they get here, how friendly we all are.

OK FBN sounds to me like you could any one of these as your background...now the questions is not only which; but also if you can use the all. Set one up to be the background image, and set the others up as a pic. That way if the info is covered up on the ring one, you can set Fidor as the background and post the ring in the forground as a seperate img.

Thanks bro and thanks to everyone that pitched in and helped out with this, this is just another way for us to get the word out about the forum and i think it will bring in more members soon...and we will continue to improve it as we go im sure...and again THANKS!!!

Updated vrs 1.1, also I changed the colors I hope we can see it a little better now.
BTW @ FBN do we really have to have "that" song on there...lol Master P has some better stuff if you like him...but "Make 'em say UGGGHHH" lol just never sat right with me.
You know Easye, those colors remind me of what a spot light looks like. You know how it will reflect color and give different shades.

I like it. If you wanted to try Welsh's suggestion, couldn't you just have the sides a lighter color and use the same picture or would that look bad?

I really like the 3-D cage, Great job on it. Can I post it on my new myspace page too? I was going to alter the white border on it though. To try and get it to "set" inside the page background color.

Not sure how to attach an image. I tried the attachment button but could not get it to work.
I rendered the image to fit a black background with a lens flare behind it to offset it a bit. Let me know what you think or if you want to use it. If it is cool, I am going to make a new myspace page, and I would like to use it for a background image.

I love the cage too. I agree with Welshie though. The MMAWorld font is just a little too blurry to read easily. Especially at the top. Is it the 3-D effect that is causing that?
You still going to use that pic FBN? It's some pretty cool lookin stuff....

Sorry to keep posting, but I finally got the color coding right.....I think. It blends in to the background now, instead of having a "hard edge" to it. The background color code is "050304". I kept forgeting that it is not a "000000" (solid black). Here is the new tweaked image. I adjusted the background lens flare and lighting effect so it would blend better. Like some have already said, the font is a lil' blurry but other than that, I think it looks great!
