K-1 Deserves Its Own Sub-forum

I think K-1 should have it's own sub-forum. If smaller organizations like KOTC and IFL have one, then K-1 should definitely be deserving. K-1 is a much bigger organization than both KOTC and IFL, and they definitely have more top fighters than KOTC and IFL combined.

I know that K-1 has a subforum with other "non-MMA" events, but K-1 is MMA also with the K-1 HERO's division. I don't think it should be classified under "non-MMA" because it does have many, many MMA fights.

Well Grabaka, the way it is set up is my fault.

I wanted K-1 pulled out of the amateur and other mma section. Brvheart honored my request. I also wanted to have somewhere to put grappling events like the one Couture recently competed in, and any news from the wrestling world.

So I get this bright idea of lets call it a "non-mma fighting section. That would include all of it. Although K-1 has mma too, when I was thinking about this I was thinking "kickboxing." Since neither kickboxing nor grappling really gets a lot of attention, even on big mma forums, I thought I had myself the perfect solution. :(

I understand the reasoning behind it. I just felt since they held 5 HERO's events in 2006 which is MMA only, and Dynamite 2006 will feature mostly HERO's rules matches that it doesn't belong in non-MMA section.

Yeah, I get ya. I just wanted to explain how we got to where we are now. Now just need to decide what to do next...

i personally think K-1 should get its own section because theres more an more news and article about them and there just drowning all the other non mma articles before people can get the chance to read them

Just for the record it was never in the amateur section...it was just where it sets I just changed the name...I will ponder what to do with it now ;)

The K-1 info was in the "Amateur and other MMA" events, before you brought back the K-1 section. Then about a week later the name was changed.

Remember.....I was the one who moved all those threads from the amateur to the K-1 section :)

A couple things to ponder....

1. it could be called "K-1 and Grappling" and the non-mma dropped

2. Change it back to just K-1 and we can put grappling in general chat or cafe.
