CANTWELL INJURED, FIGHT CANCELED FOR UFC 120

It's been a rough 2010 for former WEC light heavyweight champion Steve Cantwell.

After an unknown medical issue forced Cantwell out of action for a January fight, the Las Vegas based fighter has now suffered a late knee injury that will force him out of UFC 120 this weekend and his fight with Stanislav Nedkov has been canceled for Saturday night's card.

Sources close to the fight confirmed the injury to MMAWeekly.com on Friday, after an initial report from Fighter's Only.

While Cantwell and Nedkov have been removed from the card this weekend, sources have stated that the fight may be moved to the UFC 124 card in Montreal, health permitting.

The fight was set to be Nedkov's UFC debut after spending time in several promotions over the years including Sengoku in Japan.

MMAWeekly.com will have more information on the possible relocation of the fight when it becomes available.
