White House, Senate Edge Closer to Detainee Compromise

Armed Services panel chairman John Warner won't give out details but says progress is being made on language to clarify U.S. obligations to Geneval Conventions on treatment of enemy combatants.

I guess the people so worried about terrorist mistreatment should feel lucky I'm not the President. I would have executed the majority of the detainees already. If an enemy, not connected to a standing army, fights us we should kill them in the field of battle and only detain the terrorist leaders, until they give us the information we want, then we should execute them as well.
