Only moderators are allowed to edit post....Easye posted this before he was a mod ;)

I'd be interested in knowing what the reasoning is behind not allowing a member to edit their posts?
There may be a good one, I just can't think of any.

In the past I have run into people that will something very nasty in a post, wait till some reads it, then edit it. Then you have to play the he said she said game. So I just let people edit post for like 15 after the post is made, then they cant edit them any longer.
I see, I'm not that sneaky. Wouldn't a thunk it.
90% of my edits are in the first 15 anyway.

I can't find the edit button, perhaps I'm not looking good enough.
I use it (the edit) to make sure all my pics/links are posted correctly...sometimes I'm in a hurry.
15 minutes is fine, but I can't even seem to do that!
I'll keep looking.

in the bottom right hand corner of your latest post should be a row of 3-4 buttons
they include:
1. Edit
2. Quote
3. Multi-quote
4. Quick reply
There will be a Thanks box in the corner of any othere members post

One last test for an edit button.
Double post prevented :) see post below
Nope, only 3 buttons... this pic was taken seconds after the post:

you might have to refresh to get the edit button, also if you use it to see how your post is going to look...images etc...you might find the "preview post or thread" buttong handy ;)

Ok brvheart ... you may want to edit the FAQs...not that anyone really reads them...but just in case you should make it include the fact that you only have a 10min window to edit your post. ;) If you are able to edit the FAQs that is...right now all it says is "Your ability to edit your posts may also be time-limited, depending on how the administrator has set up the forum."
