The Shoutbox

I wanted to see how many like the shoutbox and how many think that it can go away and not bother you.

It adds extra load time to the homepage and clutters it imo. But I wanted to see what you guys think.

it doesnt really both me, if its there its there....if it isnt there it isnt....if its voted to be removed i probably wont miss it to much

I enjoy it. But will not miss it if it has to go. I like that I am able to just pop in and say hi. Plus its faster then the chat room, or a PM.

There good pro`s but the disadvantages are it slows the main page down...im not sure about this 1, i`ll have to think bout it abit more

I have to admit that I missed the shout box when it was gone. Once in awhile it sure is handy and it does make our forum unique from most other mma forums.

Are there any other options we could give up or consider giving up that would speed up the load time?

we could move it to the very bottom of the forum so that it is not the first thing you see ;)

but that does not kill the overhead that slows the page load down....

Yeah, I wasn't upset that it was/is there. I just think something more useful than a shoutbox should be the first thing I see when I enter the forum. Something like a 3D image of a hot chick that says "Welcome Righty I really missed you." Or something else...

mixed emotions on this thing. I love to use it but at the same time, it is kind of a pain when loading. Then again, I missed it when it was gone, and it does make us a little different, but again, I would hate to only be known for our shout box............grrrrrr. I vote keep it, but turn it upside down....

It will be interesting to see how missed it really is. I kinda liked it but never really used it. With high speed it really didn't take too long for the site to come up for me any way.
