Did anyone else think that both of those 2 got a little upset easily? Also, I hate to break it to Diaz, but I think that Karo would clean the mat with him. And Diaz not having enough class to go outside and speak civil with Karo was kind of childish.....anyone else feel me on this?

100%. I know they are both fighters but the fact that Karo tried to talk to him and he kept up his tough guy act showed me very little to like about Nate other than the way he fights.
And yeah Karo would destroy him in just about every aspect of a fight.
I wouldn't have trusted Karo outside. Karo has also spoken ill of Joe Lauzon.

Karo was acting like a bigger star than he really is. No one outside of us internet dorks and hardcore fans even know who he is. H*ll, some of the new TUF guys will be more popular than him with the newer fans. I like Karo as a fighter. I never really saw much of him outside of the cage, and I personally am disappointed in the way he acted. I kind of expected that sort of reaction from Diaz. That's the way those brothers are.

I just read that. Very good article. I am even a bigger fan of Joe's now.
Not sure how to take the whole Karo thing. He is one of my favorite fighters because of the way he fights. Unfortunately I may have to re-evaluate what I think of him personally. Granted I have never met him so I don't know. But of course I have never met Matt Hughes and don't particularly like his attitude either.
so much thinking to do.........

Karo and Manny certainly are cut from the same mold. Those guys are serious hot heads. I agree that Nate Diaz would not have made it anywhere near an Octagon for a long time if he decided to throw down with Karo. Disappointing behavior from someone who is already well respected as a fighter. How can Dana White expect a bunch of younger, inexpereinced fighters to act like professionals when they get that type of example.

Yeah, I feel you on this. But Karo should have stopped touching Nate when asked. I can't remember if Nate even said to stop, but he should have anyway. You could tell Nate didn't like it.

duran rant of the month: Karo's behavior was shocking. I thought he was a professional. That is not how a world champion contender should act. I got the impression he was drunk. Maybe he was just acting ghetto - maybe that's how he is. Maybe it's cultural. He was not acting right. He was acting like he was under the influence or he has emotional problems. In a few minutes of crafty editing I went 180 degrees the other way with this guy. I thought he was a top notch classy guy. Something is not right with a guy of his status who acts like that to a kid.
I understand that the show is heavily edited, but what was aired showed me that Diaz DID show Karo respect, A WHOLE LOT more than he should have with the guy yapping at him in front of his (Diaz) peers. For the most part, he only talked s___ about Karo when Karo was out of the room. The impression i got was not because he was afraid (and I give you that Karo would kill him in a fair OR street fight and Diaz knows that too), but because he was on the show and did not want to get in trouble with Dana and because it did not look like he really did anything to fight about. Think about what is going thru that kid's head. Karo is a UFC star. He is at the gym and at the fight with Dana's blessing. Nate Diaz is supposed to get in a fight in the DRESSING ROOM with one of Dana's cash cows?? Nate Diaz is supposed to fight this guy when he is "new" to the "company"? We all know that you have to be on Dana's good side to be anybody (make money!!!) in the UFC.
As for Diaz not going out to talk to Karo, why the heck should he????? That was a very mature thing to do/not to do. Do you see the irony in this??? Nate "f-Bomb" Diaz being the sensible one here and using good judgment???? Diaz was just sitting there, accepting that he got 'punked' and kept saying, "its cool" etc, trying to extend the olive branch. That did not make Karo happy a few minutes before or while he (Diaz) is sitting on the bench (submissive body language) so how would that change if he went out? The incident was over and Karo can't let it go. He has to come back and call the guy out again. I did not get the impression that Karo was calling him to come outside and save face and apologize, either. I got the impression that he was CALLING NICK DIAZ OUT and was going to sucker punch him or something. end of rant
Hey now duran, seems to me you already had your rant of the month a few days ago. Gonna have to switch to "rant of the week."
I think Karo was in the wrong in this situation, especially after reading what Joe Lauzon added to the situation. Karo's behavior didn't surprise me since it's not like it's the first time he's acted like that. It's just the worst example. I think he's got too many people around him telling him how wonderful he is. He's another one who does more whining than winning. I've always liked the guys fighting style, but I think he's a jerk. If he doesn't start training seriously for his fights, he's never going to live up to his potential. Him not training is not my opinion, it's what he has said for years himself.
I can see why Nate wouldn't go outside with Karo. I think Nate just wanted to drop it and for Karo to leave him alone. Considering Karo started ranting and making threats when Nate wouldn't do what he wanted, made it pretty clear he wasn't going to drop it.
I DON"T think Karo wanted to talk civil to Nate. I think he wanted to lecture him some more about how he should be treating someone of Karo's stature with more bowing and scraping.
Go Du-Ran, Go Du-Ran, Go Du-ran, Gooooooooo.

Im a huge karo fan but he takes some stuff to seriously and gets offended to easily. I think that they both acted childish with karo being a douche and nate being disrespectfull. BUT I hope that it sets up a nate/karo rematch:)

They could both stand to get a sense of humor, eh?
Nick vs. Karo 2 would be awesome.
