Andy Wang? How was he one of the guys to get to fight at the finale? And the head kick he got was Micro style ;) Andy may have been able to fight/survive through the G&P but he was still rocked. A clean stoppage IMO.

At least they could hug afterwards....but I think Jens will be pissed after he gets to watch the fight later and sees how long BJ held in the RNC after Steve tries to stop it...lol

How's about mine [sig]?
Yours is good I am going to use it to.
I would be. BJ didn't need to hold it that long. I write my new sig with a bad taste in my mouth.

you fought??/ lol
Just a FYI BJ let him out of that armbar....
Why would he do that?
Also, what do you guys think about the Emerson/Gray fight. I thought Gray looked out. I still expected him to win, but if the rules say that if neither fighter can continue it's a no contest, I think it was the right decision.

he wanted to beat him a little and go after the shoulder I suspect...you could just tell that he let him out if you watch it.
And yes it was the right call, he was out clearly, he could not even sit up. He DDTed himself lol. (DDT is a old wrestling move for those that do not know)
Wasn't it Matt Lindland that knocked himself out slamming someone?

I'll admit that if you will admit that Matt Hughes purposely let Royce go so he wouldn't have to break his arm.

Don't forget Mark Kerr.

I immediately thought of the Hughes-Newton fight after the slam. As a Matt Hughes fan, I hate to bring this up, but Hughes was in no condition to continue in the one or two seconds immediately after he "disengaged" from Newton. For one or two seconds, (and in Newton's case in was a lot longer of course) neither fighter was in a condition to continue, but Hughes recovered almost instantly. In Maynard's case, it was more than a few seconds, but how did the officials differentiate that call from this one? The ref had no idea that Maynard was hurt, let alone out for a second or 2 or 3. He waived off the fight by virtue of the tap. A slight tap, but a tap nonetheless. I wonder who then made the call to make it a no decision. Did the ref during the commercial break decide on his own with his own observations or did someone from the NSAC bring the official rule to his attention and then he decided after a few minutes that Maynard was in no condition to continue?
Like everyone else, I could see Maynard's right eye rolled back into his head as Rogan pointed out. Rogan was also right that when you are hit real hard and not knocked completely out but are hurt real bad, you forget a few seconds of your life. Is it possible that for a second or two Maynard was out, but in the following seconds he realized that the fight was over by virtue of the tap and he just relaxed, knowing that he won?
I am not crazy about this call, but I am not incensed by it. I just don't see a whole lot of difference between the Hughes/Newton outcome and this one. Rob Emerson tapped. Ref waves it off. End of fight. Or not after the commercials.

I think the difference is that if Emerson had NOT tapped, he would have won the fight, just like Hughes did.

I just had a funny thought. What if Emerson had not tapped, was on his back in pain, but then upon realizing that Maynard was out, he dramatically rolled over on his belly and layed his arm over Maynard and the ref would drop to the mat and do a WWE-style 3 count pounding of the mat? (sorry, just being goofy here)
Such things pop into my mind as well duran. Glad I am not alone.

I had a gig this weekend at a big casino so I was bummed that I would'nt get to see the fights but happy that I was gigging. As fate would have it the fights were left on (with the volume down) while we were playing so I got to play my gig AND watch the fights. Too cool!!!I got paid good money to watch the TUF Finale.;)
Good fights for the most part, I predicted that BJ would choke out Jens then say "aloha and mahalo", I believe this prediction came true.
