Last night i took another step in achieving my goal of becoming a master of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. After 6yrs of training i received by purple belt. I don't want to sound like i gloating but it has been a hard road to get to this point and i feel i am over half way there.

I am right there with ya CJB ;)
Brvheart and I were just talking about earning belts earlier today. In JJ belts aren't just handed out because you show up for an X amount of time. You have to really earn them. You have a reason to be proud. A purple belt = dedication and hard work. Congratulations.

Boo's right. I know a bunch of black belts that just got their belts in the last year and have been doing their martial arts for like 2 years. I'm like wow- good for you. Now lets work on your conditioning... then they act like white belts. lol

One heck of an accomplishment. Stay committed to this. The mental/emotional benefits of training are just as important as the physical. Well done.
Congrats! Quite an accomplishment.
So far I'm still an invisibelt in BJJ. But I did buy several blackbelts for Karate and TKD from my local martial arts store.
