Hey I heard about this site from your friend at srtforums(****oro04). I'm starting to get into MMA. I can't take any classes, cuz of my work schedule, so any advice with training would be much appreciative. I'm not trying to learn MMA to be a bad-*** or anything, I'm overweight, and want to be able to protect myself if neccesary. Thank you all.

Hey guy I know who you are talking about, he is my friend too ;) If you want to be able to defend yourself try and find a gym near you. Alot of them will offer specials like. Free classes or even 30days so you can decide if you really like it.
How did you start getting into MMA?

There are a few around me, but with my school and work schedule, it's impossible, seeing as they only have 2 classes a week, which blows. I've just been training with TKD which i took at a young age and boxing in which i've trained for 3 months. A little muay thai, just punching and kicking. So not much, so I guess I will just have to perform a miracle.

Thanks, I looked through and could only find the ones that wanted to charge me an arm and a leg, but wouldn't work around my schedule.

I overlooked one, that is near, called them up and talked to them. they are asking 100 a month, is that normal?

Yeah thats about normal. Here is how my gym breaks down there prices. [Only registered and activated users can see links]
Its $99 a month for one class with unlimited visits per month. If you want to take a secod class that one will be $55, and if you can fit a third class into your life its only $35. One class being either a BJJ, combat sambo, muay thai, or boxing.
There are also seperate prices that say $x a month but you can only attend 4 classes a month....1 per week.So ask if they are willing to do something like that, since your so busy.
I think those prices are right....its auto payment via my bank accnt. so i forget the actual breakdown. Sorry. I know its close though.
