Now, one of reliable blogs "Iron Magazine" posted today's 4 p.m. that Takanori Gomi decided to join HERO'S.
The blog manager just said it and "I'll tell you guys in detail later."

This is big news if true. Gomi would be a huge addition to the already pretty talented HERO'S LW division. There was also a HERO'S press conference today in Japan to announce the addition of Tamura vs. Kin to the July 16 card. At the press conference Tanigawa(FEG President) said he hopes to announce something at the event that will change the flow of MMA in Japan. This may be the announcement of Gomi. Only time will tell.

He should go to K-1, instant celebrity in Japan and if he is getting paid the same it makes no sense for him to come to America. He has mastered fighting in the ring and is one of the biggest draws.... why give that up just to fight in the states??

Gomi almost certain to join HERO'S

FEG has revealed that PRIDE Lightweight Champion, Takanori Gomi, could soon be the latest PRIDE star to jump to K-1 HERO'S, after Gomi himself made it clear that he is interested in jumping to the promotion that continues to build a strong roster of native talent. 28-year-old Gomi's PRIDE contract ends in September and FEG boss Sadaharu Tanigawa said that Gomi's move seems almost definite come that time.

Actually glad to hear you guys are OK with some of these fighters going to K-1. Usually all I hear on the web is complaining if someone doesn't sign with the UFC. I don't want there to be one megapromotion.

I think the best case scenario is that the UFC satisfies us with good cards all year and then K-1 tops everything off with the best. And I agree it is stupid to have one good org and the rest not

I think those are the people that are mainly UFC fanboys. It's obvious even with the aquisition of PRIDE that we aren't going to see all these "Super Fights" that we want to see all the time.

UFC 77 is a prime example of that. We have 2 PPV caliber fights, but the rest of the card looks like something from a UFN or WEC.

With K-1 at least some of the PRIDE japanese fighters that aren't being signed by the UFC have a place to go, and some of the top fighters that are having trouble negotiating with the UFC have other options.

Well to be perfectly honest I'd never watch UFC unless Pride FC was sold and most of my favourites (Quinton Jackson,Heath Herring, Nogueira,Mirko Crocop) has moved to fight in USA

I just want you to think about where MMA would be if there wasn't: :noidea:

Pre-fight interviews and training footage of Dynamite/ Hero's :thumb:

Sakuraba's masks:thumb:

Rampage's howl and superb attitude :thumb:

Heath Herring's hair styles :thumb:

Rachelle Leah :thumb::thumb::thumb:

UFC Videogame for Playstation :thumb: (I most probably wouldn't be a fan and maybe never heard of MMA)

Some might not agree but that's really made the difference for me.

Well you do know that Pride is dead and all that you named outside of Heath Herring and Sakuraba are already signed in the UFC already....including Wani and a few others. :D

I liked the video games too, I never got any of the Pride ones, but I did play the UFC and K-1 ones :D

I never thought I would actually look forward to seeing what someone's hair looked like, but with Heath I gotta fess up.

I played the first UFC game on Dreamcast, a japanese K-1 game on PS, Pride & K-1 games on PS2.

I'm hoping to get UFC game on PS3 when it comes out. It looked good on the trailer
