Sorry to hear that Brvheart. Everyone knows how hard you've worked to get the site to where it was. Try not to let it stress you out too much.

Are these customizations on all styles or just the new one?

brvheart

well....here is the good news and bad news...

Good news first :D -

We did not lose any threads, post etc, nor did we lose any DB related stuff such as members etc...so that is outstanding...

I also found what I think is a pretty decent light colored style that you will be able to check out shortly...

Bad news :( &

After you vote here, we will have most likely lost ever single add on, custom function etc that I have built/installed - all 145 of them. It would take me more than a week to reinstall etc, that would be working more then 10+ hours a day on it.

The way that I see it, is that I just bite the bullet, uninstall what is left of what we had, and start over. There are bits and pieces left here and there, but to get them to work I would have to go through and pretty much do everything again anyways, so my though is to get rid of what is left, and then start again. Do you think that it is worth the effort or just get rid of what we had and not add anything back....I know that I can most likely not live with that ;)

Your thoughts and suggestions are welcome

Difficult for me to answer Brvheart since I am not really sure and I suspect most people do NOT know what is standard and what is a customization.

I do know that I especially like the following features
-multiquote
-thanks
-gifts
-fonts, color, size and other options found in the task bar in "quick reply"
-calendar
-# unread posts
-spell check
-size adjustment of writing box (?)
-referred list
-"who's online"
-private messages in upper right hand corner turns red when you have a message :thumb:

I can live without onsite picture hosting, but I would need to move a lot of the fighter profile records offsite if we lost that.

Those are the things I immediately think of that are important to me. I can add others as I think of them if that would be helpful.

please do add them, those are all features that I wanted to keep, this will help me prioritize and work on what people like the most ;)

thank you for the input boo, I will work on the ones that people mention first...

The main thing, for me, is that the site is up and we can still post and PM. I have had a small taste of what you are going through Brvheart; I've lost my site several times. It doesn't compare to the size of mmaworld but the frustration is the same. You should look at the bright side of this; the site was probably heavy with features that most people didn't use or like for whatever reason. Just start with the essentials and take time to evaluate any added features before you spend the time and effort building them. :)

I think all the items in the VBplaza are gone. And the Stock place was offline b4 the crash. Everything Boo listed I second. And the Vbookie.

I just found out that if you go into the Vbookie area. And select "Settled bets" it brings up page 1 of 6....however if you try to view any of the other 5 pages, they take you to a blank page.

The "auto-complete" feature when searching for members, or typing in a members name does not pop up for me any longer. I really like that feature. Came in handy.

Also the stock area is still showing up a blank screen for me. :(
