So I found a great gym, some good guys there. This is how the first day went:

Sitting in my car, butterflies in my stomach. I'm so nervous, i dont want to look like an idiot. I muster up some courage and walk through the doors. I see cheerleaders, so that helped, apparently there is a cheer team in the buidling as well. I met the trainer and he was nice, some people came up and talked to me. These guys are all understanding.

So we start warming up by running around the mats, then galloping sideways. The instructor then showed some insane moves, like crawling around someone with ever touching the ground. Of course my partner was way bigger then me and I am 6' 250. It didn't quite workout. We then did some ab training.

A guy then came up to me and said he'd show me some basic moves to protect yourself and submit others. He showed me how to apply a amerikana(sp?), rear naked choke and the kumora(sp?). It was awesome learning that.

We started sparring, being my first night, the guys let me have it. I thank them for it, I had to earn everything. All the times sparring I was winded, it wasn't easy holding onto someone for 5 mins. I am so sore, but feel it was all worth it. THe first one i sparred with, dominated me, passed my guard all the time and submitted me about 3 times in 5 mins. I know I suck lol. He told me he though he would easily submit me way more then 3 times. So that was good to hear. THe next guy, only submitted me once, with a armbar, the rest of the time we were rolling. The third guy, i submitted him with a amerikana and the rest of the time we were rolling.

It was well worth it, so I shelled out the money, and am now poor once again lol.

How much did your class finally cost you? What kind of schedule did you work out (classes per week)?

All in all sounds like fun to me ;) hope you can stick with it. I love to role with anyone. And now that your in a class your gonna be "top dog" with your friends and rolling and submitting them for fun. teaching them a little ... but not enough for them to win ;)

100 a month, BJJ is everyday, MMA is 3 days, Judo is after every BJJ class.

It is fun, i got kicked in the face a couple times, but it was well worth it. I can't wait to start dominating my friends if they ever want to wrestle around. :)

Thank you for the support. :)

Ok jjmoneydawg heres is the info i just got from the guy who deal with the members monies at the gym. They used to do it like i said b4. however too many people were complaining about how difficult it was and confusing to get a price. So this is the way it works.

99 a month is for 2 classes a week in any art we offer
149 a month is for unlimited clases in any style we offer
199 a month lets you take as many classes as you want in any form, that way a single person can make their own schedule and attend or not attend any class or classes they want.

So still like i said if you have one for 99 and it offers a nice little deal like you had said ... GJ ;)
