ULTIMATE FIGHTER 6 DETAILS ANNOUNCED

Spike TV this week officially announced the upcoming season of the mixed martial arts reality series The Ultimate Fighter featuring sixteen up-and-coming welterweight fighters from around the world.

This sixth season of the series is branded “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Serra vs. Team Hughes.” As usual, the cast was divided into two teams. One team is coached by current UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Serra, the other by former champion Matt Hughes.

Serra and Hughes will fight each other on a UFC pay-per-view, likely on Dec. 29, following the conclusion of the series.

Serra is currently the #1 ranked fighter in the MMAWeekly World MMA Rankings, while Hughes has a hold on the #3 position.

“The Ultimate Fighter: Team Serra vs. Team Hughes” premiers Wednesday, Sept. 19 following UFC Fight Night. The series assumes a regular Wednesday night time-slot on Sept. 26 at 10pm.

The Wednesday night airings represent a departure for the series, which had been airing on Thursday nights in recent seasons.

The announced cast for this edition of The Ultimate Fighter includes: Matt Arroyo, Daniel Barrera, Blake Bowman, Mac Danzig, Paul Georgieff, Richie Hightower, John Kolsci, Troy Mandaloniz, Billy Miles, Roman Mitichyan, Dorian Price, Jared Rollins, Ben Saunders, Joe Scarola, George Sotiropoulis, and Tommy Speer

Dana out did himself again. This season will be even more drama then the BJ/Jens season. Matt and Matt really do not like each other, Hughes told Serra that he got lucky with his KO win over GSP. And Serra thinks Matt runs his mouth too much lol I can't wait! The coach's match at the end will be even better then last season :D

Im picking Hughes to win, but it for sure wont be easy. Matt Hughes has a good ground game but he has proved that he isn't impossible to submit. If there is anyone in the division who can pick up where Penn left off by subbing Hughes it is serra. I also give the stand up advantage to serra since its hard not to have better standup then Hughes

Yes, at the end of the season the fighters get drunk, act like fools, and tear the house a new one. From the preview it looks as though they demolish the place.

If I were Dana I would not stand for it. Just like the guys street fighting in the backyard last season, smashing other peoples' property show us to be nothing more then wild dogs. I think you can ba respectful person and fight MMA for sport/fun. I wonder if Dana being the savy buisness man has them sign something before hand that says everyone splits the total costs equally for any and all damages. :D I would laugh so hard at the end of the show, if I could see their faces....I lost my shot at a contract and I got 3k bill to do it >.<

Hughes is gonna win and wipe the mat clean with Serra. I am with ya UB. House is and will be demolished once again, I would hate to be the cleaning people.
