Texeira was a heckuva pickup for the Braves. He was All-World for them the second half. He killed us this year. I think the guys on the Braves are real pros. They always think they can win the whole thing.

Huge that we are opening up at home. I would have much rather faced San Diego, esp. after they had to start Peavey yesterday. Colorado's bats v. Phils pitching (outside of All-World Cole Hamels) = pain for Phillies fans. It's not going to be pretty. Both teams are hot and en fuego. Overall, I like our chances over 5 games. Just barely.

btw, you really have to check out colehamelsfacts.com, which lists VERY funny Chuck Norris-like facts about Philly's wonderboy. For instance, "Cole Hamels outpitched Steve Carlton before he was even born." Not as funny as the Chuck Norris facts, but funny because Hamels is just a kid.

Official statement from duran's spokesperson: "It looks like the Fightin's flat out choked. The only good thing about this is that the two games in Philly brought millions into the city and now that the team got their postseason jitters out of the way, if they make the post season next year, they will be exponentially better for the experience. I am going to stick with predicting outcomes of mixed martial arts fights. I am truly humbled, but things could be worse. At least I didn't make a complete fool of myself on national TV whining about missing my girlfriend. "
