I think we should put together a video series for the site and teach moves to those who would like to learn. Obviously there's plenty of stuff on youtube and other video sites but if we condense that and what we create on here I think it will be a great asset to some of these guys. Who's in? I know Easy and Braveheart are.

Thats not really a half bad idea. If we could get enough people in on it so that it was not just the two names listed...lol...I could be down for it.

I could use my wife as a training partner.....just like in real life. Which reminds me.....duran could make some clips too. lol

My club was thinking about doing it for distant club members. I think this would be a great idea and I know my training partners are down for it.

Well I can see that myself and Easy are in... but I haven't heard anything from brvheart. I guess this means I need to get a hair cut. my hair is like 4 inches long, straight and I never comb it.

lmao, that reminds me of Royce vs Kimo....remember how Kimo got his hair yanked?

I am not really against the idea, but not really for it either. Unless any of you are close enough to get together and do it...

sidenote...how to videos usually carry a big name to make them successful, guess we will have to use Boo lol

I didn't think we were making these clips to make a profit or to be successful. Just to try and help separate our site from the rest of the herds of MMA Forums.

Or did I miss something, again?

brvheart has lost his Christmas spirit! This isn't about making money bh- its about helping those who want to learn but are less fortunate than others in having a school nearby. shame shame on brvheart for being a money hungry corperate snob and shutting out the little guy. Ok I'm done messin with ya. Yeah when i was thinking of making these vids for my club I was going to charge just enough to cover the costs of the dvd I'd print or just put them up on my server. but since we have the forumns here- it would be easy and inexpensive to make them. now if brvheart wants to go and make money I'd say make a dvd series if there's a market- but E and I want some kickbacks on this. I'll send my lawyer for negotiations. nah- just messin again.
If no one is interested then I'll just make a thread and post a few video I make in there and E can drop some in if he likes- since brvheart isn't a team player.:lolbeat:

I never said we were going to charge...

here is the real point as plain as I can say it...

make it if you want, we can host it here. We can even make a section for videos etc and require so many post to get to it. if I was money hungry I would not keep sticking time and money in this place out of the kindness of my heart.

The videos you are thinking of doing...what is the subject matter? submissions? striking? takedowns?

With that, who is of rank and qualified to teach these techniques and video them? I know for me, I will pick the technique apart step by step, if it is wrong, it will need to be corrected...

I don't think anyone is really all that qualified except maybe a world champion. As for doing the techniques right- anyone can pull a technique apart and say- that won't work. But its what works for that individual that matters. If we don't charge but the techniques are solid then people shouldn't look that gift horse in the mouth. If they don't like a technique then they shouldn't practice it. I used to be a Hapkido Instructor for A Gold's Gym in Las Vegas. Currently, I run an MMA club. So viewers can take what I offer for what they want. No one is ever truely a Master. Since this forum is a place where folks can come and merge ideas and showcase- whatever they like- it makes sense that people should be able to share videos. Selling them is another story and that starts to delve into the idea of "why pay for something if I don't know the author". I agree there. As for makin fun of you brvheart I was just Joshin ya. We all know how much you put into this site and how generous you are with your resources. So don't take me seriously about that.
