Online Reaction Time Test

A fighter is only as good as their reaction time. It takes an average person a fifth of a second just to perceive the green light. A skilled fighter should be able to react 2-3 times faster then that. By the time 1/5 (o.2) of a second passes you should have already started attacking.

My best score was 0.20 with an avg. of 0.236999999, what can you all get? Not the best way to test....because of PC and LAN lag, but still a fun game.

Nice! did you use the mouse or your keyboard...cause I found I could do better with the keyboard.

Oh and btw clicking the mouse as fast as you can to get the fastest time...IS cheating ;) lol

I used the mouse....did not know that we could use the keyboard...but will give it another shot :)

I was faster with the keyboard too, DLTD. I think there is some extra lag in the mouse... :noidea: Or i just can't hold-n-click as fast as I can just smash my keyboard. lol

Very interesting test. I didn't do too well compared to others. My average was .284 or so.

One thing you must remember when equating reaction time to competitive fighting is that ACTION is always faster than RE-action. One of the things we train on when "sparring" in karate is the ability to read your opponents technique before it begins. When you get real good, you can almost hit your opponent before they even commit to their own technique.

Don't get me wrong, reaction time and reflexes are super important, but I'm just putting a different spin on it. Something to think about...

Its a fun little test. I had good reaction time but I'm no fighter. I was king of "slap hands" in 8th grade, but that was the extent of my combat career.
