EliteXC 145lb. Women's Championship

It looks like the first EliteXC women's championship will be contested at 145 pounds. There will be a match featuring Shayna Baszler and the winner of that match will go on to fight Gina in October for the belt.

I'm sure there will be plenty of people dogging this decision to make a weight class just for Gina. But is Gary Shaw going to alienate Gina who is arguably his biggest star? It's just a good business decision.

I'm just glad to see someone make a women's championship finally. Hopefully it will bring more female stars to EliteXC.

LAWL, but if they want Gina to be champion they're gonna have to add a few notches to that belt. Why are they even associating a weight with the championship? Just make the women fight at a catch weight, then it's no problem for Gina.

The only reason I can think of is that there will be multiple weight classes? Makes sense to me.
