Brock Lesnar training with MFS

Pat "The Croatian Sensation" Miletich has confirmed that former NCAA Champion and three-time WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar has been training in Bettenddorf, Iowa, at the acclaimed Miletich camp.

Lesnar, 29, who has been expected to make the transition into Mixed Martial Arts since his in-ring appearance at K-1’s Las Vegas GP on April 28th, was stripped of the IWGP Title by New Japan Pro Wrestling on July 15th due to “visa issues” and is therefore free to pursue MMA.

“Brock come down to tryout the facility and see how he got along with the guys this week”, said Miletich on Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Live broadcast.

“He’s actually very level headed and a great athlete obviously, being a NCAA wrestling champion.”

The Minnesota native appears to be taking well to his new domain, “The way I would describe him is a 280 pound cat – he moves incredibly well for not knowing the fight game”.

“A year from now there’s not going to be anybody on the planet that can beat him”, Miletich boldly concluded.

so we had Ken Shamrock go to WWE, then come back....now we have a WWE coming to MMA :) I will want to watch this guy and see how he does...since he was a NCAA champ...he might actually do well.

Yeah he "may" do ok...as would Curt Angle, just cause of his "olympic wrestling"...I think he was talking about trying it out too. But the other guys...not so much. They wouldn't make a dent in a real MMA bout.

Brock Lesnar will be scary in a year if he trains hard and gets good instruction, I would love to see him fight Tim Sylvia. He would definitely have the strength to get him to the mat. I don;t think Kurt Angle will ever be involved with MMA with his history of serious neck injuries and recently substance abuse (although only allegations). No MMA organization wants to be known as the organization that allowed him to fight and get paralyzed or otherwise seriously injured.

I would love to see someone that beastly try to check out mma, but i dont think we would ever see him in the UFC like i would want to because he has to be more than 265

I certainly would not put it past Dana to try to get him but Pride actually has more of a history of MMA oddities ie Bob Sapp, ButterBean etc.

I would love to see his stats....but I bet he could cut down in weight a little to get primed for a fight

that is another good point Keith, Pride is known for their pro wrestlers stepping in and fighting at events...Thier pro wrestlers have a little different mentality than the USA's do I think.

I am actually pretty excited about this simply because he is still in his prime, unlike Angle (the only other pro wrestler who would have a snowball's chance to be successful, if it wasn't for the inuries).

If he can learn to strike and to defend the submission, I think he will a monster to contend with inside a ring. If he learns to strike, defend submissions, AND apply subs, he will be like Godzilla in the ring.

One unknown that will be interesting to see is how his jaw is and can he take a hard shot to the head without losing his concentration in a fight. We have seen plenty of new fighters that get rocked for that first time and all of a sudden they are like deer in headlights.

Yeah, Wiki has him listed at 6'2" and 285
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

But, I imagine it would be easy to cut 20-30lbs.

I reemember Gan McGee (6'10") was around 295lbs and had to get down to 265 for the new HW limit. Same for Tim, he was always around 290-300lbs also.

Its too bad they can't let the heavyweights include super heavy weights. Sapp has no chance of ever making the 265 pound weight limit. Imagine an AA that can bulk up to 280 and then throw him in the ring with Sylvia.

I don't think that the NSAC will ever allow a SuperHW (or open) weight class... and that's too bad.

Might be entertaining!

I'm always hearing about Sapp, but never seen the guy? Just how much does he weigh, and how tall? Is he a fatty or is it muscle?

Bob Sapp HIGH-light ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

Bob Sapp LOW-light ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) <-- must see !! (when he spins around at 1:07 ..it's just, .. just priceless!)

Sapp is a freakshow fighter. He is incredibly powerful but has absolutely zero skill. I think he weighs in at close to 400 pounds of muscle.

His "ring around the rosie" defense is personally one of my favorite clips. I also like that he cried after getting his arm broken by a Cro Cop kick. When was the last time you saw an athlete cry after an injury?

Boo bumbles into thread......asks simple question.......resulting in......ROTFLMAO

Now that I've recovered....wow that guy is huge! Sakaraba looks like a little kid next to him. Apparently Cro Cops kicks REALLY hurt, humm who would've known. The playing with dolls was just priceless! Ring around the rosie defense, I agree with Brvheart, that looks like a sig line quote.

As a final BOB SAPP note ... most fight sites list him at 6'5" and between 350-400lbs .. depending on which year he fought.

Definitely a big boy!!

The sad part is that if he even spent a little bit of time on defense, boxing, and submissions...he would be a force to be reckoned with....but NOOOOO

His training program consists of eating doll stuffing and making horrible, HORRIBLE music videos (even by bad Japanese music video standards!).
Double post prevented :) see post below

Ok...now you guys are just encouraging me....

Brock Lesnar is making bad music videos? That could actually be pretty funny. Have you actually read somewhere that his training is not exactly up to par. It would suprise me given the fact that he was supposed to be training with Militich.

That is actually the worst picture of a hijacker I have ever seen. To me it looks like some friendly guy that is cold in the back of a plane.

Yeah...this thread has taken a few trips around the block in terms of subject matter.
