Prelim Fights:

-Dan Miller Vs. Rob Kimmons

Round 1: The fighers start the bout by throwing leather and then clinching. In a scramble Miller takes the back of Kimmons and gets his hooks in. Still standing, Kimmons defends the rear-naked choke. The IFL champ sinks in the choke and Kimmons falls to the mat. The tap comes at 1:27 of the opening frame.

Winner: Dan Miller def. Rob Kimmons via Submission (RNC) at 1:27 of Round 1

-Drew McFedries Vs. Mike Massenzio

Round 1: Massenzio ducks a McFedries punch and takes down the Miletich fighter. On the ground, the IFL veteran moves to side-sontrol and then gets forced to guard. From there, McFedries frames up a triangle but Massenzio gets out and moves to the north-south position. Massenzio steps a leg over the Iowan’s head and sinks in a deep kimura. McFedries taps at the 1:28 mark

-Jason Brilz Vs. Brad Morris

Round 1: Jason Brilz is welcomed by his hometown crowd with a loud ovation. Morris, the Aussie is booed immediately.

Morris throws a right low kick and is scooped and slammed for his effort. Passing to side-control, the Cornhusker is in the dominant position against the fence. Morris gives up his back and the Nebraskan sinks in his hooks. Fighting for hand control, Morris defends any choke attempts. At the 2:40 mark, Brilz flattens his opponent and throws some punches to the head. Morris turns so he is mounted and Brilz moves back to side-control. Brilz rains down elbows from the side mount. With one minute remaining, Brilz goes for a keylock that fails. With 10 seconds left, Morris gives up his back and Brilz attempts an armbar. The round expires. MMAWorld scores round 10-9 for Brilz.

Round 2: Morris starts the Round with a one-two combo that lands. The Aussie then shoots for a double-leg and is reversed. Morris is forced to his back where he gets full-guard. Up against the cage, Brilz passes to side-control. Again he is looking for the far side arm of Morris. The hometown favorite lets the arm go to punch the head. From there, the over matched Morris gives up his back. For a moment Brilz takes mount and then to the back. More punches and, and this time they're frequent. After a few hard shots the referee steps in to save the Aussie. The win comes at 2:54 of round two.

-Joe Lauzon Vs. Kyle Bradley

Round 1: The lightweights take the center of the cage and circle. Bradley is the first to strike, and is immediately clinched by Lauzon. From the clinch, Lauzon drops for a leg lock. A very nice setup by Lauzon but nothing is there. Back on the feet with three minutes remaining. Bradley connects with Lauzons face with a punch and buckles the Massachusetts-based fighter. Lauzon recovers and they continue to trade. Joe lands a one-two punching combination and Bradley circles away. Lauzon with another good combo and a knee. Bradley answers with a right to the body. A right hand of Bradley grazes Lauzon and the round closes. MMAWorld sees the round 10-9 for Joe Lauzon.

Round 2: Bradley fires a shot to the body that grazes Lauzon to start the second frame. Lauzon throws a stiff jab and an uppercut that just misses. Lauzon then scores a takedown, directly into half-guard. He moves to mount quickly and then his opponent’s back. Hard punches land for the TUF 5 cast member. Referee Josh Arney halts the contest at 1:34 of the second frame.

-Wilson Gouveia Vs. Ryan Jensen

Round 1: Gouviea takes the center of the cage. Jensen wings an over hand right that misses. Gouveia answers with a kick. The Nebraska native lands a jab and misses with a right. Jensen lands a stiff low right leg kick. The American Top Team product throws a kick and Jensen seizes the opportunity to secure a takedown. From full-guard, Jensen pushes the Brazilian to the cage. Gouveia frames up an armbar and transitions to a triangle choke. Jensen escapes and throws down some shots that excite the Omaha crowd. With 1:30 left, Wilson looks a bit tired. Jensen stacks his opponent and Wilson pushes his away. Wilson gets on top in a scramble and takes mount. Jensen immediately reverses and sweeps his opponent. From the top, Jensen lands a glancing elbow to close round one. 10-9 for Jensen.

Round 2: The second stanza starts with the two middleweights high fiving. Gouveia takes the center of the Octagon. Jensen throws a body kick that causes Wilson to cringe. The shot was flush on Gouveia's groin. After a very brief pause the two men engage again. Jensen lands a decent right hook and then scores a takedown. From half-guard Jensen looks to work. Jensen stacks his opponent and that gives the Brazilian the opening for another armbar. This time he seizes it and Jensen is forced to tap. The bout ends at the 2:04 mark.

-Alessio Sakara Vs. Joe Vedepo

Round 1: The Iowan Vedepo is a crowd favorite over the Italian. Sakara sets the pace with two high kicks that graze the head of his opponent. After a takedown attempt the Iowan stuns Sakara with two hard right hands. Sakara answers with a hard right high kick that ends his opponent’s night even though it was blocked. After one more shot on the ground Yves Lavigne stops the fight at 1:27 of the first.

PPV Fights:

-Houston Alexander Vs. Eric Schafer

Round 1: Alexander takes the takes the center of the Octagon and rocks Schafer with two knees to the chin and a right hand. Schafer recovers and takes guard, where he eats some leather. Alexander stands and stuffs a takedown against the fencing. And another. Alexander, breathing hard after only 90 seconds in the cage, knees from the clinch and defends with an underhook. Schafer grips the body of his opponent and trips him to the canvas. Schafer ties down an arm with his legs from side-control. Alexander reverses the position but is caught in a guillotine. Alexander goes to his back and escapes the hold, but he’s mounted. Schafer rains down right elbows as referee Josh Rosenthal watches closely. Punches are launched downward and Alexander just covers up. Schafer sets up an arm-triangle from the mount and patiently moves to side-control for the finish. Alexander taps out at 4:53 of the first.

-Ed Herman Vs. Alan Belcher

Round 1: The fighters come out swinging and Herman catches a finger in the eye. He shoots for a single-leg but Belcher has none of it. Belcher fires a low kick and Herman answers with a right hand. A lunging left hook from Herman is countered with a stiff body kick. Herman loads up on a three-piece combo and misses. A right hand lands for Herman as Belcher dropped levels for a body punch. Herman gets the fight to the canvas with a double-leg against the fencing. Herman passes to half-guard and looks for a D’arce choke. Belcher escapes and gets to his feet. Another takedown from Herman follows. Not eeven grabbing the fence prevents Belcher from being deposited on the canvas.

Round 2: Herman leads with a left hook that grazes. He paws out a lazy jab, looking to setup his right hand. Belcher crushes his opponent with a left hook, but Herman shakes the cobwebs free. Herman stands tough in the pocket but his legs are wobbly. Belcher sets up a beautiful right straight to the chin with a snapping body shot. Herman is in trouble but he hangs tough. Belcher attacks the front leg of Herman with a low kick. Herman fires back with a right hand and trips Belcher to the mat into half-guard. Belcher defends and works back to his feet. In the final 10 seconds of the frame, Belcher shows good head movement and a “Superman” punch.

Round 3: Belcher jabs and Herman lands a right hand. Rich Clementi screams from Belcher’s corner: “No kicks Alan! No kicks!” Belcher fires two snapping low kicks and postures to his cornerman. A straight right from Belcher finds its target. Ed Herman rushes forward in search of a single. Belcher backs away and uses his back against the fence to stay on his feet. Herman backs away and gets a single-leg. Herman gets half-guard but does little with the position before Belcher stands. Herman, showing lots of heart, gets a strong double-leg and slams Belcher to the floor. Herman hits the head from half-guard and moves to mount. Was it enough to steal the round?

Round 1: Danzig smacks a punching combination off the head of Guida. From a boxer’s distance, Danzig jabs and lands a right hand while bobbing and weaving. Guida kicks the legs of Danzig and stuffs a shot against the fence. A right hook lead scores for Danzig. Guida absorbs a left and a right punch before taking Danzig down with a double-leg. From full-guard, Danzig grabs Guida’s right wrist and works for a kimura. Danzig stands and is slammed back to the floor with a strong double. Danzig stands and again, is slammed to the mat. Danzig worked briefly for a guillotine. From the top in guard, Guida lands right hands to the body and misses a right to the head. Danzig stands as the round closes.

Round 2: Danzig lands a front kick to the face but pays for it as Guida connects with a straight right. Getting away from his jab, Danzig throws three straight right hand leads. None connect solidly. Danzig remembers his left hand and lands with a hook. Guida drops levels and scores a brief takedown. Danzig crawls the cage with his back and stands. A right hand lands for Danzig before a failed shot plays out. Guida puts Danzig’s back to the cage and muscles him to the floor with a back suplex. Guida takes Danzig’s back and looks for a rear-naked choke as the horn sounds.

Round 3: Danzig, sensing he is likely down two rounds on the official scorecard, comes out swinging but fails to connect. Guida struggles for a single and fails. Danzig throws right and left fists simultaneously to Guida’s body and head. Think Mongolian chops, except for closed fists. Guida gets another takedown but is caught in a kimura and an armbar setup. Guida escapes and briefly takes his opponent’s back. Guida remains on half of Danzig’s back with one hook sunk. Danzig goes to his back and elbows the head before standing to his feet. Guida stays all over the TUF champion as Danzig pulls guard with a kimura. Guida frees his arm and puts a stamp on his sure victory with punches from the top in guard.

Winner: Clay Guida def. Mac Danzig via Unanimous Decision after 3 Rounds

-Nate Diaz Vs. Josh Neer

Round 1: Neer kicks the inside of Diaz’s lead leg and clinches with the TUF champion. Neer slams Diaz to the canvas and works for a D’Arce choke. Diaz escapes the hold and fights off a guillotine. Diaz stands and fights Neer off his back with a standing kimura. The fighters stand toe-to-toe and Neer cracks his opponent with a left hook. Diaz answers with punches to the body and head from close range. From the clinch, Neer connects with an uppercut. Diaz judo throws Neer to the canvas directly into side-control. Neer shows excellent leg work in getting to half guard, where he looked for a heel hook. Neer stood and defended a kneebar, which Diaz countered beautifully by transitioning to Neer’s back. Neer bucked and gave up mount before the round ends.

Round 2: Diaz finds himself on top of Neer early in the second stanza. He uses the kneebar to pass guard but Neer is game. Neer stands and gets on Diaz’s back, where he nearly sunk in a rear-naked choke. Diaz escapes to his guard and goes high with his hips in search of a triangle. Neer stands and lands an axe kick to the body of the downed Diaz. Good action as both fighters scramble for position and end the round against the fencing.

Round 3: Diaz throws left hand leads to the body to start the final period. He drops levels for a single against the cage and Neer stuffs it. Neer reverses position against the fence but ends up on his back with Diaz hovering over closely. Neer stands but is dragged back to the mat. Diaz transitions to his back but he can’t mount any offense. Neer rolls over and briefly gives up mount before Diaz went to his feet. Diaz does not allow Neer to stand as he grabs the heels of the downed fighter and enters his guard. Neer gets to his feet and takes Diaz’s back. Diaz gets Neer of his back and eats some body shots for his effort. Diaz gets a takedown before the round ends.

The official judges score the bout 29-28 (Neer) and 29-28 (twice) for Diaz. Nate Diaz takes the split decision.

ROB KIMMONS VS. DAN MILLER

Round 1 - After a few punches, the fighters clinch, but Miller escapes and takes his opponent's back. Kimmons tries to defend while Miller climbs atop his back. Miller is still standing but finally falls to his back. The tap-out comes mere seconds later. Dan Miller def. Rob Kimmons via submission (rear-naked choke) -- Round 1, 1:27.

MIKE MASSENZIO VS. DREW McFEDRIES

Round 1 - Massenzio scores the easy takedown early in the round. After a quick adjustment, Massenzio escapes his opponent's guard, secures an arm, and quickly forces the tap-out due to a kimura. Mike Massenzio def. Drew McFedries via submission (kimura) -- Round 1, 1:28.

JASON BRILZ VS. BRAD MORRIS

Round 1 - Big cheers for the hometown fighter Brilz. We're underway, and Brilz quickly grabs a leg, scoops up his opponent, carried him to the corner and slams Morris to the mat. Brilz then takes his back and secures both hooks. Brilz throws some punches from behind to soften him up. Morris briefly escapes, but Brilz lassos him in and gets side control. A barrage of punches and elbows to the head and body of Morris follows. Morris turtles to avoid damage, but Brilz continues the assault. As the round comes to an end, Brilz tries to secure an arm-bar, but the horn sounds. A huge ocation for Brilz for the dominant round. MMAjunkie.com has it 10-8 for Brilz.

Round 2 - Morris lands a nice combination to open the round, but Brilz secures the clinch and successfully forces the takedown. Working from inside guard, Brilz delivers some punches and then postures up and easily passes to side control. Brilz works elbows and knees to the body, and Morris is again forced to turtle to avoid damage. Brilz uses the opportunity to secure full mount, and Morris rolls over to give up his back. Wouldn't pay too much attention to this thread WOG. you may spoil some of the fights that are aired before the main event. the main card is all live but they'll throw in a fight or 2 from the prelims if there is time.

KYLE BRADLEY VS. JOE LAUZON

Round 1 - Bradley opens the round with a decent uppercut, which forces Lauzon to clunch. Lauzon drops for a leglock and beautifully makes the transition. Bradley escapes, though, and they're back to their feet. Bradley delivers a nice knee to the body. Lauzon circles out, and Bradley lands some short but powerful punches. Lauzon returns some stiff jabs. Lauzon finds his range and begins to tee off on his opponent, but the fight slows to a crawl in the final 30 seconds. Lauzon took some damage that round -- which turned out to be a very close one. MMAjunkie.com has it 10-10.

Round 2 - Bradley charges out with some early aggression and lands a couple shots. Lauzon dips for a double-leg takedown, secures the position and scores the takedown. Lauzon quickly hops to mount and rains down power shot after power shot. Bradley gives up his back, but Lauzon continues raining down big blows to force a stoppage. Joe Lauzon def. Kyle Bradley via TKO (strikes) -- Round 2, 1:34.

WILSON GOUVEIA VS. RYAN JENSEN

Round 1 - Jensen get a nice ovation from the hometown crowd. Referee Dan Miragliotta gets thing started, and we're underway. Gouveia takes the center of the cage, but Jensen circles around. Jensen engages and works his jab and a few tentative kicks. Gouveia answers with a nice combination. Jensen then shoots andscores the takedown and lands in full guard. Chants of "Jensen!" start to heat up. Jensen rains down some punches and elbows. Gouveia nearly secures a triangle but Jensen escapes. When Gouveia looks for an arm-bar, Jensen batters him with punches. Jensen continues the assault, but Gouveia kicks himself free. During the escape, Gouveia briefly secures mount, but Jensen dodges the position and finishes the round with a frantic flurry of elbows. MMAjunkie.com has it 10-9 for Jensen.

Round 2 - The fighters engage in a quick exchange. Jensen catches his opponent with a kick in the junk, but after a brief halt in the action, we're again underway. After trading jabs, Jensen partially connects on a head kick. He then scores the takedown. However, Gouveia takes his opponent's back, but when Jensen tries to escape, he's caught with an arm-bar. It's deep, and the bout is halted. It's a solid comeback win for Gouveia. Wilson Gouveia def. Ryan Jensen via submission (arm-bar) -- Round 2, 2:04.

ALESSIO SAKARA VS. JOE VEDEPO

Round 1 - "Iowa Joe" gets a nice ovation from a near-capacity crowd. A bearded Sakara sports a new caveman look. We're underway, and Sakara leads with a couple kicks. Vedepo dips for a leg, but Sakara fends off the takedown attempt. Sakara throws another kick -- to the body. Vedepo again shoots for a takedown, fails, but he lands a shot that staggers Sakara. Vedepo charges in, but Sakara quickly recovers. Sakara throws another kick, Vedepo tries to defend but gets struck right behind the ear and hits the mat in a heap. The bout is quickly stopped after the highlight-reel KO. Alessio Sakara def. Joe Vedepo via knockout (head kick) -- Round 1, 1:27.

HOUSTON ALEXANDER VS. ERIC SCHAFER

Round 1 - Alexander opens quickly, landing two heavy knees. Schafer is wobbled, put pulls guard. Alexander steps back to his feet as chants of "Hou-ston" rock the building. Schafer shoots in, but Alexander lands more knees inside. Schafer maintains his strategy of looking for the takedown, but Alexander is defending well and punishing Schafer with knees. Schafer persists, earns the takedown and moves quickly to sidemount. Alexander rolls, but gets caught in a guillotine. Alexander pops his head out, but is mounted by Schafer. Schafer is landing several shots from the top while maintaining mount. Alexander is avoiding heavy damage, but doing little to escape the poor position. Schafer switches to an arm triangle choke, and Alexander is forced to tap with just seconds left in the round. Eric Schafer def. ALAN BELCHER VS. ED HERMAN

Round 1 - Herman with an early jab, but Belcher fends off his takedown attempt. Herman may have taken a poke to the eye, but the fight continues with the fighters clinched against the fence. After a restart, Belcher throws a leg kick while Herman partially connects on an overhand right. The fighters again trade punches and body kicks, and Belcher connects on a stiff right jab. Another jab from Belcher sets up a loug leg kick. Herman clinches, but Belcher backs him into the cage and throws knees to the leg and stomach. Herman now gets the better of the stand-up and then staggers Belcher with an uppercut. Belcher fends off the takedown, and the fighters again clinch. The fighters trade shot before Herman dips and scores the double-leg takedown. With Belcher pinned against the fence, Herman moves to half guard and works for a choke. After a few punches, Herman works for the D'arce choke, but Belcher escapes to his feet. Herman swarms and again takes him back down to the mat. A few punches follow before the round ends. Round 2 - The fighters trade punches in the center of the cage before Belcher staggers Herman with a stiff left jab. Herman shakes it off, and the fighters again trade jabs. Belcher sneaks in a right but Herman counters with one of his own. Herman lands a nice body shot-elbow to the head combination. but but Belcher counters with a big punch that staggers Herman. Herman misses with an uppercut before Belcher clinches. After they separate, they return to the center of the cage and trade sporadic punches. Belcher lands a solid leg kick but eats a punch for the effort. Herman checks the next one and sends Belcher to his back. Herman drops into half guard and works punches to the midsection. Herman unsuccessfully tries to pass guard and settles for some short punches to the midsection. Belcher backs out and escapes, but Herman tags him with elbows and knees on the way up. With 30 seconds to go, Herman works punches while Belcher telegraphs a Superman punch that misses its marks. The round ends. MMAjunkie.com has another close one 10-9 for Belcher.

Round 3 - After a high-five, we're again underway. The fighters trade punches with little landing, and Belcher finally sneaks in some jabs and a leg kick. Belcher's corner yells for no kicks. Herman dips for a double-leg takedown, but Belcher muscles out of it. Clinched against the fence and stalled, the ref calls for a restart. Herman lands a solid lunging jab, and Belcher pops Herman with a stiff right. Belcher tries a spinning backfist, but Herman immediately shoots for the takedown. Belcher tries to fend it off and finally does, but Herman won't back off and finally pulls his opponent to the mat. Herman passes to half guard and works punches to the head and body. Belcher sits up and then gets to his feet, and then he just misses catches Herman with a head kick. Herman throws a haymaker with no luck, but he again shoots and easily secures the takedown. Herman briefly secures mount, Belcher gives up his back, and then thinks better of it and rolls back over. Herman throws some punches as the round comes to a close and did enough to take the round. MAC DANZIG VS. CLAY GUIDA

Round 1 - Quick pace to start, with Danzig pushing forward. Danzig kicks, but Guida times a takedown perfectly. Danzig looks to roll for a kimura, but Guida defends and pushes Danzig to the cage. Both fighters stand, and Guida maintains the clinch. Guida shoots, picks Danzig up and lands a slam. Guida holds Danzig against the cage. Danzig stands, but Guida slams him immediately back to the mat. Danzig looks for an omoplata, but Guida escapes. A few small shots from the top, and MMAjunkie.com scores a close round to Clay Guida, 10-9, based on the multiple takedowns.

Round 2 - Danzig again moves forward, but Guida evades. A nice front kick by Danzig, but answered with a counter punch and takedown by Guida. Danzig stands, and pushes away. Guida charges, but Danzig escapes. Guida shoots in again, and eventually works Danzig to the mat. Danzig looks a little winded, and Guida scores another takedown. Both fighters stand, and exchange some harmless combos. Danzig lands a solid right hand, but Guida closes the distance and shoots. Guida moves to Danzig's back, and tosses Danzig to the mat with a suplex. Guida looks for a rear-naked choke as time expires. MMAjunkie scores it again for Guida, 10-9.

Round 3 - Danzig tries a high kick, but Guida dodges and shoots. Danzig controls Guida's head, but Guida continues to push forward and escapes. Both fighters trade punches on the inside, then Danzig lands a kick and scores a takedown of his own. Danzig moves immediately to secure Guida's arm, but Guida escpaes and moves to Danzig's back. Round 1 - Neer opens with a low kick. Neer clinches, scores a slam, and immediately secures a D'arce choke. Diaz rolls, and Neer switches to a guillotine. Diaz escapes again, but Neer has Diaz's back and tosses him to the mat. They stand, and Diaz has a kimura locked on Neer's arm. Neer escapes, and both fighters are looking for control in the clinch. Good scrambles by both fighters. Neer lands a left, but Diaz answers. Diaz works combos to the head and body of Neer. Neer answers with an uppercut on the inside, but Diaz is holding Neer against the cage. The fight moves to the center, and Diaz lands a beautiful judo toss while landing in side control. Neer works to half-guard, and looks for a leg. Diaz stands, lands a few punches standing, then moves back on Neer. A slick transition leaves Diaz on Neer's back, and the round ends. Diaz slides out and loks for a triangle. Neer escapes and stands. Neer moves in again. Neer lands a few solid blows, and controls Diaz on the mat. Diaz stands and lands mor shots to Neer's body. Neer answers with elbows. The fighters end the round in the clinch, and MMAjunkie.com scores it for Neer, 10-9.

Round 3 - Diaz comes out swinging. Neer answers with a front kick. Diaz looks for a takedown, but Neer ends up on his back. Diaz slips away, and immediately scores a takedown. After a scramble, Diaz ends up in Neer's guard. Diaz stands, then falls into Neer's guard. Neer tries an omoplata, but Diaz is out quickly. On the feet, then back to the mat, and Diaz gets both hooks in on Neer's back. Neer rools, escapes, and again tries an omoplata. Diaz escpaes as easily as before, and pushes back down on Neer. Neer looks for an omopata, Diaz looks for an armbar, Neer ends up on Diaz's back. Amazingly fast transitions. Time running out, and Diaz lands another judo toss. Dang it herman. I now have to sport a sig made by McGrath for 3 days. BS decision but like I've said before, dont let it get that far if you dont wanna lose it.
