Ok need some feed back here...

I have noticed in some threads that are multiple pages that I sometime forget what the original post said....

So would you like to see the first post (original post that started the thread) on every page at the top so that you done have to look at the first page again? I think that it would be helpful, but not quite sure what everyone else thinks...if you think it would be nice to have, I would be more than happy to make it happen for us :)

I put yes. But I think it would be best if that post was different color or highlighted in some way....So that it is not reread for no reason, it will help on more other different types of confussion ;)

I vote yes, because it would make it easier to see the main topic due to the fact some people can take you off topic.

My first reaction to this was, "no, I remember the original post just fine." Since then I've been paying more attention to threads getting off topic and I've changed my mind. I think it's a good idea, but I like Easye's suggestion too (if that can be done).

So now you all know my secret. If I start getting off topic I have no excuses, it's not because I don't remember, it's because I'm a...a...sob...a bad poster.

We really don't need it though in places like gaming and some others. Should be self evident.

I think that's a good idea... if you're going to include it, then make sure it's italic or underintensified or colored differently.

Either way is fine with me, but if the orig post is too long, it may distract (if it's a popular thread and I'm posting in there all the time).

ok all, I have added this feature in the gaming threads to start...if you like and think that it would be of use in other sections let me know and I will add it if it makes sense :)

Also please give feedback here....you will notice that the first post on the pages has a different look then the rest of the post...that was the only way that I could make it stand out for now...

I was thinking that it might be useful in the Results areas as some people tend to post in there or maybe the live discussions area....that way you can continue to chat and see the results as they are updated at events....what do you guys think?

i voted yes because some threads can be 3/4 pages long and if its at the top it would be easier then going to the 1st page then to the last page to right your post

Nope, generally if someone has anything important to add to the conversation they will have already read the thread they are about to post in. Reposting the OP would just take up space.

It does not repost anything....it post the original post (the one that started the entire thread) on every page....esp useful for like the gaming section where there are rules to the thread....

IE - Post no more than 2 words for this game....

so it is a very useful add-on in my opinion

I am your prime example here. I just went and checked it out in the game thread. I checked the "Build a story" thread, and noticed exactly what I just quoted from you. I had not read that part before I posted in there the first time. Now I can see clearly.

Good idea.

I'm thinking it depends on how you go about things. I tend to read all the posts before I post anything, but I am a very fast reader.

Just from past experience (which I'm sure you've noticed too) not everyone reads all the posts. Sometimes not even the first one. They respond to the title of the thread.

I had the same first reaction that you did Strife, "not necessary," just one more thing to scroll through. After more reflection, I can see some benefits. Maybe not directly for me, but indirectly, by keeping people on topic.

Maybe we should try out the gaming threads for awhile and then decide what we think?
