Activision released the official weapon and perk list for the upcoming multiplatform Call of Duty: World at War, and it's official: The game will have guns, and lots of them.
While the gun roster probably really only matters most to the most hardcore World War II enthusiasts, the perks are what veteran online Call of Duty players are highly interested in. Most of the perks are recycled from last year's game, like the grenade-dropping Martyrdom and sniper-friendly Iron Lungs, but there are a few new ones that sound fun, like the Play Dead and Banzai perks.
The Activision press release groups all the weapons by country, which got me thinking that you'll be limited to which guns and accessories you can access in an online match by the world power whose side you join up with. The game publishing giant hasn't commented on this thus far, and since you could access all weapons in CoD 4's multiplayer, I wouldn't be too worried. Still, it may be something to consider.
