After some time in New York, the IFL champion Wagnney Fabiano is back in Brazil to train hard for his WEC debut. The Nova União black belt will face the former Shooto champion, Akitoshi Tamura, at WEC 37, that happens on December 3rd in Las Vegas. “Every fight is a challenge to me. I try to do the same, train hard and get there with 100% of my abilities for the fight. If I get there 100%, it’ll be hard to face me”, said Wagnney, who didn’t prepared and specific strategy for his opponent.

“I didn’t see any of his fights yet, but I really like watching fights of who I’m going to face, I let Dedé (André Pederneiras) and my brother (Léo Santos) do that for me. They watch and tell me what to do, and I train for that. I know it’s gonna be tough, it won’t be easy, but I need to be focused, it’s the opportunity of my life. I’m on the best event of the world and it’s the right time”, guarantees.

I'm looking forward to this one, should be good.

I hope Tamura smashes him, just because Shooto guys haven't been doing so good of late when they go to other promotions. I'd like to see Tamura get some respect back for Shooto.

^Same here, I was pretty pumped when I heard Tamura had been signed to the WEC. I think Maeda represented well though. That was a hell of a KO on Valencia and there was absolutely no shame in his performance against Torres. I just hope he makes his way back up to a title shot, Torres/Maeda 2 would be beast.

^Yeah but Maeda is from Pancrase, not Shooto. I agree with you, though. He looked really good against Torres. I'd love to see Maeda go up against Curran, since Curran is now at 135. The winner can face Torres after he smashes Tapia.
